Dancing Tour: Abbey Crouch lights up Wembley

The Strictly Come Dancing Tour waltzed into London on Monday with another colourful, and occasionally comedic show, this time at Wembley Arena.
Leading the way was Glitterball winner Abbey Crouch, who looked stunning in a floral embellished gown as she sashayed across the makeshift ballroom floor with hunky dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec.
The WAG showed off the moves that helped her triumph during the last series of the hit BBC show as she glided around the venue with her Slovenian partner.
Fellow Strictly star Natalie Gumede also cut something of an elegant figure thanks to her fringed dress, but there was a moment of comedy as show judge Craig Revel Horwood gracelessly attempted to carry her across the dance-floor.
Elsewhere BBC Breakfast presenter Susanna Reid, who narrowly lost out on winning last year’s show, sported a fiery red dress as she reignited her chemistry with dance partner Kevin Clifton.
The pair showed off some Latin flair, with Clifton dressed like a matador alongside Reid, whose impressive moves were still very much in evidence.
The presenter recent admitted her rigorous training for the show and its subsequent tour had helped her lose weight.
She said: ‘It’s extraordinary how it affects your body, because you are training for such intense, long periods each day.
‘You are never going to be able to do that again, unless you become a professional dancer, but it is just amazing how fit it makes you.
‘I would say that all in all, I lost about a stone in weight.
‘It means that for Kevin, at the beginning of the series we weren’t doing much lifting. Suddenly there appeared to be all these lifts and no one knew why. It was because I was a stone lighter.’
After winning the last series of Strictly Come Dancing, Abbey Crouch praised her husband, Stoke City striker Peter Crouch, for his support throughout the series, and said she was looking forward to spending some quality time with the couple’s little girl, Sophia, two
