A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Wednesday has adjourned the hearing of an original summons filed by Emeka Ike, Nollywood actor against the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) to March 24, 2014.
Justice James Tsoho adjourned the hearing in order to enable the AGN file a counter affidavit in response to the plaintiff’s suit.
The judge said the absence of the defendants in court on Wednesday necessitated the adjournment.
Ike had approached the court on July 15, 2013, seeking to upturn the appointment of Segun Arinze, a fellow actor as President of the AGN. He also prayed the court to order a review of the constitution of the AGN.
